Chicago Couture Fashion Week, NFP (CCFW, NFP) Presents, Produces and Provide High Octave Arts  &Entertainment, High End Fashion Shows, Fashion Consulting and Show Production and  works by providing inclusion opportunities to local students, talent and the under-served and working in conjunction with American Heritage Youth Foundation, NFP. The central core of our show is to celebrate emerging young artists, designer, vendors and all artistic talents from the local and surrounding communities and provide our presenters with a platform to showcase their collections, products, work or talent within our couture trade shows and events.

Our Couture shows present emerging couturier designers who target a higher caliber niche market which consists of high powered business executives, celebrities, buyers and the likes.

This season is no different. We are celebrating the works of emerging high fashion from presenters from throughout the City of Chicago, neighboring suburban communities and nearby cities surrounding the State of Illinois. Moreover, our aim is to bring alternative activities to the underserved youth as a violence prevention strategy, as violence negatively impacts Chicago. We want to showcase the positive things that Chicago has to offer. Our organization offers positive alternative activities for youth involvement through our many programs in the arts, health and education. Through our arts showcase we work by including youth via our youth apprentice program. It gives a chance for underserved youth to gain experience they otherwise would not and provides them with the opportunity to work with our production professionals in the industry, to get hands on skills and to increase their awareness of the many facets education in the arts has to offer them.

CCFW Inc. offers Two Programs, Chicago Couture Fashion Week Exhibition Program and CCFW Inc.’s Youth Apprentice Program. Chicago Couture Fashion Week Exhibition Program is a program that presents couture designers, artists and vendors tailored to artists, emerging designers, entertainers, vendors, and retail entrepreneurs who cater to trade targeted to a high caliber niche market

Goals and objectives

(3) Increasing exposure of Chicago Artists, Chicago Designers, Chicago Vendors, Chicago Entertainers and anyone who wants  their art to be cultivated and the opportunity to present within the Chicago Couture Fashion Week Exhibition Program.

CCFW Inc.’s Youth Apprentice Program is what sets us aside from the rest. This is an evidenced based 8 week program that consists of three 2-hour sessions/week of 60 minutes hands on training, and 60 minutes of real life event planning.

The evaluation design includes a cohort of 20 school-aged children using Quasi-experimental approaches to identify outcome based measures. Each participant is required to take the following pre and post test: Testing knowledge of basic terminology required to shadow their mentor (a professional CCFW Inc. Production or Style Team Crew Member.

Goals

(1) A satisfaction survey and mentee evaluation will be conducted by each mentor evaluating professionalism, promptness to the event, and readiness for job.

(2) Our Goals will show positive feedback from parents of our youth apprentice, and our staff who work with them.

(3) Finally we are hoping to implement this program within the Chicago Public Schools System (CPS) . CPS would recommend underserved youth from the Chicago Public Schools who are interested and who would benefit by participating in this program.

As an organization CCFW Inc. will be able to create job opportunities to Chicago Arts, business, Design and Technology School graduates, provide inclusion employment opportunities to the under-served , break down barriers  and provide unity through collaboration in the arts  creating a sense of  Chicago Pride, making us  an organizational leader in Chicago tourism and  attraction.

When you turn on the news, it seems that every day a child is being bullied, injured or even killed by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. We here at CCFW, NFP and American Heritage Youth Foundation believe that when the youth are involved in constructive activities, which they have fun doing, it limits the time for them to become involved in at risk behaviors. CCFW, NFP donates 20% of our ticket sales each year to AHYF which support arts & entertainment and keeping the youth off the street and educated in the arts & entertainment sector.
